Dr. Shubhangi Thakur is a public health researcher, policy advocate, and youth leader with academic training in dentistry. She recently graduated from Sudha Rustagi College of Dental Sciences and Research, Haryana.

Her commitment to community work began during the pandemic when she worked as a Teach for India student intern, supporting remote learning for children from low-income backgrounds. This experience instilled a deep passion for education, social impact, and grassroots engagement, shaping her approach to public health.

As a YuWaah-UNICEF Youth Leader, she has actively contributed to multi stakeholder consultations on adolescent health and well-being, supported by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn & Child Health (PMNCH), the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). Her engagement in these high-level discussions reflects her commitment to strengthening adolescent and youth health policies at the national and global level.

She has previously led menstrual health and hygiene initiatives, reaching over 2,000 adolescent girls and women. She has also worked on digital health advocacy and strategic communication at the Office of Shri Sanjeev Arora (Member of Parliament), where she spearheaded a digital breast cancer awareness campaign. Currently, she is conducting research on the link between breast cancer and periodontitis, supported by a university grant from Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak.
