The International College of Dentists (ICD) Section VI Conference and Convocation took place on February 22–23, 2025, at SRM Kattankulathur Dental College, SRMIST, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
The event was held under the esteemed leadership of President Dr. Meera Verma and Secretary General Dr. Y. K. Virmani.

The programme saw participation from over 1,400 delegates representing various institutions across India. Over two days, the conference offered an enriching experience, featuring prominent International and National speakers across two main halls and eight paper presentation halls dedicated to delegates from different colleges.

New Fellow at Induction Ceremony
The Convocation ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including Dr. Ian M. Doyle, Global President of the International College of Dentists, who served as the Chief Guest, alongside Guests of Honour Dr. Mahesh Verma and Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar. A notable highlight was the Induction Ceremony, where 31 new fellows were awarded Fellowships in a packed auditorium with a capacity of 3,000 attendees.
Key recognitions included:
Humanitarian Awards for community services, presented to four colleges.
ICD Appreciation Awards for nine individuals for their exceptional contributions to humanitarian activities and continuing education.
Student Excellence Awards, conferred to 41 students for their outstanding academic achievements.
Awards for winners of E-Poster, Reel, and Essay competitions.
The event was a resounding success, seamlessly blending a grand Convocation ceremony with valuable scientific learning opportunities provided through engaging conference lectures.
