Iris Mittenaere, an aspiring dental student from Paris crowned Miss Universe 2016

Iris Mittenaere, 24, hails from Lille in the Nord Pas de Calais region in northern France. She was crowned Miss Universe 2016 on Monday in Philippines. Incidentally Iris is an aspiring dental student.

It is one thing to have a beautiful smile and another to win the world with your smile.

24 year old, iris Mittenaere did exactly that when she beat 85 other asprirants from around the world to the title in Phillipines.She is now the only other person from france to have won the title after Christiane Martel did it in 1953.

Iris attended the Lille 2 University of Health and Law studying dentistry which she would like to pursue on graduating.

As Miss Universe, she wants to continue her awareness campaign for access to education and children's rights besides dental and oral care all around the world.It is indeed a proud moment for the dental fraternity around the world.
