Impart Education celebrated the completion of its 12-year journey with its symposium themed “Shaping Dentistry: Current Trends and Insights” which was a massive success with national and international speakers presenting current and advanced protocols in all areas of modern dentistry with their rich evidence-based clinical experience.
Dr. Porus Turner gave an Inspiring beginning to the symposium with his presentation at his captivating best, speaking to the packed gathering about longevity in dentistry. Simplified the “aging-yet-staying-fit-and-working-and-excelling” dilemma with his presentation on the “ikigai” of Dentistry
Dr Vivek Hegde presented exciting insights into the daily endo workflow. Right from basics to advanced endodontics, Dr. Vivek Hegde gave evidence-based guidelines on what to do and what not to. His presentation covered the length and breadth of endodontics and advancement in the field while making it relatable and seemingly achievable.
Ramon Gomez Meda spoke on the “Perio-Prostho Concept” for FP1 full-arch rehabilitation, and enthralled the audience with his amazing surgical and prosthetic skills, making the impossible seem possible, though not easy but possible with training and perseverance.
Ceramics are undergoing advancements at a pace that is hard to keep up with but Dr. Michael Dieter from Germany simplified the entire breadth of characteristics and decision-making processes of what, where, and when. His presentation gave some great tips on day-to-day material choice in all-ceramic restorations and protocols in esthetic dentistry to prepare dentists for changing times.
Cutting-edge technology and guided surgeries are here to serve our patients better. Luis Bessa gave a glimpse of the current trends in Full arch implantology with his advanced protocols in Fast & Fixed 2.0. His presentation on guided surgery covered every variable, from planning, and grafting to temporization and convinced the audience that with prior planning and execution of the plan using the latest technology, even complex cases can seem achievable.
In the hands of an astute clinician and creative dentist, slight imperfections can enhance the impact and appeal of a smile far more than strict adherence to ratios can. Dr. Ajay Juneja’s presentation was beautiful, with stunning visuals and happy smiles.
The posterior maxilla broken down for all would have been a better title. Dr. Sudhindra Kulkarni’s flow chart-like format and idiot-proof decision-making tips coming from his vast clinical experience for grafting in this sensitive zone made it look easy.
Crisp, dumbed down so that not as tech-savvy individuals could understand and apply, and effectively convincing of the upcoming printing revolution. Dr Nitish Surathu delivered a masterclass in addition or subtraction, CAD CAM style.
Peri-implant disease is hard to diagnose with a confirmed etiology. Dr Narayan Venkataraman put forth all the intersecting etiology, and all the red flags to look for, compelling the clinicians to start thinking over many risk factors usually not considered in daily practice.
The pioneer of the umbrella concept— Alberto Miselli, demystified the supracrestal tissue complex and convinced the audience to pay really good attention to the tissue relationship with the implant for the health of the bone and longevity of our restorations.
The ceramist ultimately controls not only the way our work looks in the mouth and smile initially but also how it survives and thrives. A good ceramist understands material science, technology, and biology— a synergy that was highlighted by Danesh Vazifdar.
Never will we commit all the crimes against the matrix band or compromise our class 2 restorations after listening to Dr Vishal Gupta. His presentation covered the minute aspects of sectional matrix bands—the selection and adaptation, to achieve the desirable optimum contours.
Dr. Meenakshi Kher’s presentation was an eye-opener for most adult dentists who are left confused about decision-making in traumatic injuries and broken teeth in kids.
An energetic presentation with a foot-tapping opening. Dr. Ashvini Padhye covered the principles and practice of tissue management and regeneration around implants.
Composite restorations done with extreme care and dedication —the hallmark of Dr. Prashant Hatkar’s clinical work that was gorgeously photographed and presented esthetically in his presentation.
