Reflect, an innovative mouth mirror system has bagged the award for Best Innovation at International awards of excellence (IAE) in dentistry at a gala award ceremony held by World Dental and Oral Health Congress at London on 20th April, 2017 The mission of the function was to identify and appreciate extra-ordinary talents in dentistry all over the world.Reflect was chosen in the innovation category. Countries from all over the world had participated.

Invented by Dr. Akash Chakravarthy, a post-graduate student at Saveetha university, Chennai, Reflect has been rightly touted as a product by a dentist for all the dentists.

"Reflect is a pressure-operated water-repellant mouth mirror system aided by built-in LED for better illumination. It aims at reducing backache and prolonged operative time that plagues dentists.", says Dr. Akash Chakravarthy .

Dr.Abhishek Nagaraj, head of Vinvent, who spearheaded the project, believes that dental procedures can become extremely strenous due to the constant interruption of work flow by water deposition on the surface of regular mouth mirrors during operative procedures, Relect has been designed to overcome this very basic yet potential problem that plagues dentists all over the world. It feels wonderful to be recognised for our efforts on an international platform."

With 'Make in India' receiving a big boost in recent times, innovations such as Reflect are definitely setting the trend for the Indian dental market.
