Dental fraternity bids adieu to Dr. Carl E. Misch (1947-2017)

Dr.Carl E.Misch founded the Misch International Implant Institute in 1984 and has trained over 4500 dentists from cross the globe.

On January 4th 2017, the dental fraternity lost one its most celebrated implantologists , Dr. Carl E. Misch whose passion and vison was to elevate the standards of care in implant dentsitry with a hands on approach.

Dr.Carl E. Misch has authored three editions of Contemporary Implant Dentistry (Elsevier), which has become the most popular book in dentistry and has been translated into nine languages. Author of over 250 articles has lectured in every state in the United States as well as in 47 countries throughout the world.

 

Dr.Misch was the Founder Director of the renowned Misch International Implant Institute" (MIII) in Beverly Hills, Michigan. MIII, since 1984, has its presence in many countries around the world and has trained over 4,500 dentists till date. Dr. Misch was also the co-inventor of the BioHorizons Maestro Implant System. He was also on the Board of Directors of International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).

 

Among many distinctions, Dr. Carl E. Misch is a knight, having been deemed so by the King of Sweden. In 2014, he was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award, the highest honor conferred by the American Dental Association's Board of Trustees.

 

Condolensces poured in from dentists across the world who remembered him as a great teacher, mentor  and a wonderful human being.
