Indian Prosthodontic Society spreads awareness about Prosthodontic services on National Prosthodontist Day

22nd of January was observed as the National Prosthodontist day by IPS memebers to spread awareness about Prosthodontic services.

The 22nd January 2017 was celebrated as the national ‘Prosthodontist Day’ by the Indian Prosthodontic Society (IPS) Karnataka branch in association with KLE Society’s Dental College and IPS Bengaluru branch. Through the National Prosthodontist Day, IPS aims to spread awareness about the profession across the country. The faculty and post graduate students of various dental colleges came together to commemorate this day with various events. The event was held at the KLE Society’s Nijalingappa school campus and was graced by the presence of Dr. Prafulla Thumati (President IPS), Dr. Kashinath (President Elect IPS), Dr. Chetan Hegde (President IPS Karnataka branch), Dr. Anandakrishna G N (Secretary IPS Karnataka branch) Dr. Ravindra Savadi (President IPS Bengaluru branch) and Dr. Shilpa Shetty(Treasurer IPS Karnataka branch). A walkathon was organized around the college campus and the adjoining residential area in which, students and Faculty displayed posters and placards highlighting the various treatment and rehabilitation procedures pertaining to Prosthodontics. The walkathon was followed flashmob, which was performed by the undergraduate students of KLE Dental College.
